The new centre will be located in Newbold Terrace and will be linked to the existing Police building in Hamilton Terrace, which will be re-organised and completely refurbished.

Construction work started on site in May 2008, and completion is expected in July 2010.

Victims and witnesses are key to delivering justice. The support and facilities available will ensure that they will have confidence in reporting crime and giving evidence in court.

This will be the first centre in the country where all the Justice Agencies, including Crown Courts, will be co-located.

There are numerous financial and service benefits for delivering local joined up justice services which will help to improve public confidence and support Agencies to work together to reduce crime.
