Notes
(1) The PSA24 confidence indicator (year ending March 2008 to March 2011) is a national target. LCJBs are not being performance managed against this. The indicator is made up of two questions: 1. CJS as a whole is effective and 2. CJS as a whole is fair. The PSA24 target for Confidence in the CJS in England and Wales will be met if there is a statistical significant increase (at the 95% level) from the baseline (6 months to March 08) by the year ending March 2011 in both 'effectiveness' and 'fairness' indicators.
(2) Whilst it is possible to disaggregate BCS data at the local level there are no performance targets/measures. The data presented at the LCJB level are for information purposes only.
(3) Sample sizes are not yet robust enough to disseminate down to a Local Criminal Justice Board level. Information at this level should be available at the end of January 2009.
* denotes a statistically significant change (at the 95% level) from the PSA24 baseline.
